“Queen of the Week” is a new feature on FemMetal’s social media. Every week, a member of the FemMetal team or a special guest will choose a woman to honour throughout the week. During this time, we’ll share some information about the artist and, with the help of fans, create a playlist of her best work in music.

The first week’s Queen was chosen by our very own Benedetta Baldin. And as anyone who has ever spoken to Benedetta (or even just nodded “hello” while passing her in a corridor) would expect, she chose Anette Olzon. We dubbed her voice “The Voice of Light” because if light ever had a voice, this is how it would sound.

We’ve put together a playlist of the best songs featuring Anette Olzon’s magnificent vocals, with suggestions gathered from her fans.
