Greek darkwave/minimal synth duo Selofan—formed by Joanna Badtrip and Dimitris Pavlidis and based in Athens—have surprised the gothic scene with the release of their brand new single. On July 31st, 2025, they unveiled “I’ve Seen That Face Before”, a haunting homage to the one and only Grace Jones, an icon of art, music, and fearless transgression.
True to their signature sound—cold synths, intense vocals, and a sense of poetic drama—Selofan reimagines this classic through a darker, minimalistic lens, summoning the mysteries of the night and its elusive figures.
The single’s cover artwork enhances its nocturnal and suggestive vibe: it features two pairs of legs in striking high heels, an image that evokes sensuality, identity play, and the intrigue of hidden encounters in the shadows.
