Melbourne based independent alternative duo Mystic Tea Party released a brand new single titled “ANGELITE.” The track serves as the second preview from their highly anticipated debut full length album, Slipstream, which is scheduled to arrive this October.

Operating as a completely self-contained creative unit, the duo handles all writing, recording, producing, mixing, and mastering duties. Fronted by songwriter and producer Blume, the project draws heavy sonic inspiration from the alternative rock, trip hop, and electronica movements of the 1990s and early 2000s. Musically, “ANGELITE” introduces a softer and more vulnerable side of the band. The track builds slowly around dreamy vocal melodies, breakbeats, and intricate guitar work before culminating in a massive and loud finale. Beyond the music, Blume utilizes the project to champion female visibility in production while proudly sharing her unique perspective as an intersex woman navigating the alternative music space.
