Japanese epic metal project FIRST CONTACT, led by BLOOD STAIN CHILD guitarist and producer RYU, released their new single “My Spirit Falls” to celebrate their first anniversary. Built upon a heavy metal foundation and fused with grand cinematic soundscapes, the new track weaves together elements of Celtic folk, cyber trance, and rock. The release pushes the project forward with soaring melodies, intricate guitar work, and a powerful bassline, demonstrating the creative freedom at the heart of the vision RYU holds for the group.

Operating without the restrictions of a conventional band, the fluid lineup of the project allows different vocalists to rotate depending on the specific needs of each song. For “My Spirit Falls”, resident vocalist TanTan is joined by Sadew of BLOOD STAIN CHILD, who steps away from his usual harsh screams to deliver unexpected clean vocals. The track also features Sawa of Aldious on bass, giving her prominent space to shine, while RYU handles the remaining instrumentation including a highly technical guitar solo. The new release arrives just as the group completes their first anniversary tour across Japan.
