Dutch artist Annicke Shireen has released a new single and music video titled “Loud Hag.” The track serves as the second release from her upcoming debut solo album, DELIRIUM, which is scheduled to arrive on November 13. Fans can also access an early digital release of the record through Bandcamp on October 23.
Musically, “Loud Hag” leans into a heavy sound built around metal guitar riffs and layered vocals. The lyrics focus on rejecting societal expectations placed upon women, specifically reclaiming a term historically used as an insult. The track embraces the idea of being viewed as too loud or opinionated and turns that perception into a statement of pride.
Her forthcoming debut album blends alternative rock, metal, synthpop, and folk into a cohesive collection of songs exploring personal growth, anger, and belonging. Annicke Shireen is already well known for her role as the frontwoman of SHIREEN and her work with acts like Heilung and Pure Reason Revolution. For her solo material, she handles the writing and production while also directing the visual elements and designing her own stagewear.
