MARGARITA released their debut album, Abysses of Melancholia, yesterday via Electric Valley Records on vinyl and digital streaming platforms.

The Paris trio, formed in 2022, builds upon a foundation of heavy doom by incorporating sludge, heavy psych, and shoegaze elements. For this release, the band integrated synth layers and electronic percussion alongside their standard guitar, bass, and drum setup to expand their melancholic sound.

Lyrically, the record examines themes of memory, lingering absences, fractured identities, and the rejection of toxic masculinity. This new full length release follows the band’s 2023 self titled EP.
