Melbourne alternative duo Mystic Tea Party have released their new single, “Aiyo Daea”, ahead of their upcoming debut album, Slipstream.

The track incorporates a fast breakbeat, heavy bass, ambient guitars, and manipulated vocals to blend electronic rhythms with atmospheric elements.

The independent duo handles all writing, recording, production, and mixing duties. Vocalist and songwriter Blume, an intersex woman, utilizes her personal perspective to shape the music and emphasizes the importance of visibility for women in alternative music and production spaces.

The arrival of the new single follows recent radio support for the band, including airplay for their previous track “Flame” and playlist placement for the song “Angelite”.
