For the last couple of months, we communicated with media and press personalities, musicians, producers, and other Metal and Rock influencers inviting them to cast the names of musicians and acts they would love to see nominated for FemMetal Awards 2023. After a period of drafting names and voting for the finalists, we are happy to announce the nominees for each of the categories of FemMetal Awards 2023.

The 12 categories remain unchanged from last year. The number of nominees was decided based on the number of drafted musicians for each category. Naturally, the Write-in Award has no nominees as we leave this category open for any fan to write the name of a musician that we might have missed.

This year, the theme of the annual Awards event is Women in Science. Each of the twelve awards has been named in a manner that celebrates an inspirational woman who was a pioneer in the field of science.

Reuel Way

Being a feminist has been normalized as an irregularity through our patriarchal society, so I'd rather be called a "decent human" than a "feminist man". I breathe Metal and Rock and have a screwed-up sense of humour.
