The Tuska Festival, which will take place in Suvilahti, Helsinki, on 27-29.6.2025, has announced its first performers. Next summer’s headliners will be the first to hit the table: the New Jersey-based Lorna Shore recently took a header in the metal scene that is rarely witnessed. The band’s latest album, ‘Pain Remains’, was a big hit around the world, and when stories of the band’s incredibly intense live performance began to circulate, it was clear that the next rock star of the metal scene had been ignited. In Finland, Lorna Shore‘s overwhelming power was admired last year at Tuska and Province, as well as at headline shows at Helsinki’s Jäähall and a sold-out Pakkahuone in Tampere in a matter of minutes.
Other confirmed Tuska 2025 performers include perhaps the world’s most upbeat and danceable metal band Electric Callboy, German power metal outfit Powerwolf, and American hard rockers Nothing More, offering alternative nu-metal sounding hard rock, Swedish Orbit Culture, delivering groovy and modern melodic death metal, Australian alternative music oddity Kim Dracula, folk metal frontrunner Korpiklaani, Finnish heavy music cornerstone Marko Hietala, Tarja Turunen, one of the most internationally renowned Finnish singers, Charlotte Wessels, who rose to world fame as the vocalist of Delain, Thrown from Sweden, a groove- and deathcore-tinged metal band, and Eihwar from France, a hypnotic and pagan Viking trance band, Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus, who created the classic “Crying for Joy” album, Norwegian punk rock leaning Blood Command, modern melodic metal outfit Arion, and heavyweight leather hammer percussion group Tyrantti.
