MEETING THE GOTHIC AND MYSTERIOUS BAND VLAD IN TEARS

Apr 9, 2025

In the European rock scene, few bands manage to masterfully merge emotional darkness with sonic intensity like Vlad In Tears. Hailing from Italy and based in Berlin, this band has captivated their audiences with a unique style that blends gothic rock with hints of alternative metal and deeply emotional melodies. Since its formation in 2007 and resurgence in 2013, they have maintained a loyal fan base, taking their music to international stages and creating a unique atmosphere at each of their concerts. In this feature, we explore the history of Vlad In Tears, and how they have managed to stand out in a genre that demands both passion and authenticity.

As for their stage presence, Vlad In Tears is distinguished by an overwhelming attitude and a mysterious aura that envelops both the band and their audience. The band members — Christian Miconi (Vocals, Piano), Alex Miconi (Guitar), Dario Miconi (Bassist), and Francesco Cosma (Drums, joined the band in 2024) — often dress in a dark and theatrical style, utilizing leather garments, chains, and gothic details that reinforce the intensity of their musical offering, creating a complete sensorial experience. On stage, they are not just musicians; they are performers who give their all to their art, connecting viscerally with their audience through their dramatic movements and electric energy.

With a discography spanning over a decade, Vlad In Tears has constantly evolved, exploring themes of love, heartbreak, inner struggle, and the darkness that lurks within the human soul.

Through albums like their latest, Relapse or Porpora, the band has built a sonic world where shadows and lights coexist, creating a unique experience for their followers.

Stay tuned because the band has announced that their new album, Hide Inside, will be released on September 5th of this year!
