Halestorm have opened the doors to a new era with Darkness Always Wins — a slow-burning, cinematic rock anthem that marks their first release of the year. Produced by GRAMMY-winner Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell), the track offers a glimpse into the band’s upcoming album under Atlantic Records. More details on the record will be revealed soon.
“‘Darkness Always Wins’ is not a song of hope, nor is it a song of despair,” says frontwoman Lzzy Hale. “It is reality. History repeating. Evil prevails and the good depart first. But we are not doomed as long as we persist and keep our fires burning. The war may not be won in this lifetime. But our mission is to pass the torch so that those who follow have a light to fight with.”
This summer, Halestorm will hit the road — first supporting Iron Maiden across Europe, then joining Volbeat on a U.S. run. But before that, they’ll step onto a legendary stage for a one-night-only performance at Black Sabbath’s final show in Birmingham, England on July 5. You can find their tour schedule here.
