The city of Fuengirola (Málaga, Spain) will roar once again this summer with a new edition of the Sun and Thunder Festival, taking place on July 17, 18, and 19, 2025. Across three intense days, the event will bring together legends of heavy metal, melodic rock, symphonic metal, and a strong dose of power metal, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Mediterranean coast.

Thursday, July 17
The opening day will be headlined by German thrash icons Kreator, alongside gothic metal pioneers Paradise Lost, Spanish metal powerhouse Leo Jiménez, Swiss legends Samael, and bands such as Eihwar, Dry River, Mind Driller, Dragonfly, and more.
Friday, July 18
A day dedicated to classic and melodic metal, with headliners W.A.S.P. leading the charge. Joining them are heavy hitters like Accept, Sonata Arctica, Saurom, Ensiferum, Opera Magna, and Vhäldemar — a day overflowing with epic soundscapes, virtuosic performances, and the unmistakable energy of power metal.
Saturday, July 19
The festival will close with a bang thanks to Swedish progressive metal titans Opeth. Also on the bill are folk-metal trailblazers Eluveitie, the irreverent Kabrönes, power metal veterans Freedom Call, high-energy hard rockers Jolly Joker, and the technical force of Daeria, among others.
Sun and Thunder offers more than just music — it’s a full cultural experience where metal, sea, and community collide.
