Following the release of his second album ‘Living Ghosts’ on April 4, 2025 via Swiss Dark Nights, Italian band The Spoiled continues to push the boundaries of post-punk with an intense and atmospheric sound. Entirely composed and produced by Giovanni Santolla, the creative force behind the project, ‘Living Ghosts’ is filled with dense atmospheres, metallic percussion, distorted synths, and enveloping guitars, in which every song unfolds the tale of a “living ghost,” exploring themes of loss, remorse, and the yearning for redemption through thoughtful lyrics and a cutting-edge sound.
Last Friday the 13th, The Spoiled released a new single: a remix of “The Emptiness Inside”, one of the standout tracks from the album, created in collaboration with Florence-based post-punk and darkwave band Terminal Serious (Luigi Buonaiuto and Robert Fortes). This joint reinterpretation adds electronic layers and a new emotional dimension to the original, showcasing the creative synergy between both projects.

This release follows a particularly active 2024 for the band, which saw the release of the EPs Time and Ironshell (Fixed), as well as their participation in the international compilation Goths For Palestine, alongside artists like Belgrado, Vision Video, Suzi Sabotage, Traitrs, and Aux Animaux.
With a busy live schedule and having shared the stage with bands such as Ductape, Dish-Is-Nein, Darkways, and Suzi Sabotage, The Spoiled is establishing themselves as one of the most original and consistent voices in the European darkwave/post-punk scene today.
