Suzi Sabotage Awakens the Wild Within with SUDEN SYNTY

Jun 20, 2025

Emerging from the most elegant and defiant corners of post-punk and darkwave, known from fusing dark coldwave with synthpunk, Suzi Sabotage has become an essential name for those drawn to brooding sounds with depth and sophistication. The Finnish artist, known for her hypnotic stage presence and an aesthetic steeped in gothic melancholy, returns this Thursday, June 19, with the release of her new single SUDEN SYNTY, out via Out Of Line Music.

This new release follows her recent participation in the Goths for Palestine initiative, where she unveiled a reimagined version of her song I Am the Storm, alongside other notable acts such as Vision Video, Deceits, TRAITRS, Belgrado, Zanias , Dancing Plage, Soft Riot, NITE, Carrellee, Scary Black, Scimiter, Yama Uba, RATPAJAMA, The Spoiled, Aux Animaux, and many others. Continuing her artistic momentum, on May 22 — coinciding with World Goth Day — Suzi surprised fans with a haunting cover of Serpiente, originally by Mexican-Spanish artist Lux Mala. The track was entirely produced, mixed, and recorded by Suzi herself, highlighting her creative range both on and off the stage.

The music video for SUDEN SYNTY was filmed with filmmaker Tino Vaittinen in the shadowy forests of Finland, near abandoned First World War trenches — a setting that adds layers of symbolism and historical resonance to the piece.

The song, whose title translates to “The Birth of the Wolf,” is a powerful metaphor for inner transformation. Through lyrics rich in symbolism — a caged animal, the desert as a space of release, the black forest as a place of rebirth — Suzi Sabotage narrates a spiritual journey in which the repressed self breaks free from the constraints of city life and ego to reconnect with its wild, primal instincts. The figure of the wolf, which emerges in the final verse, embodies that fierce and essential liberation only nature — and deep introspection — can provide.

Suzi continues her European tour with two highly anticipated stops in Spain: June 27 in Barcelona with Newborn Ghost and June 28 in Madrid with the band Diavol Strâin, where she will perform her new material alongside her already iconic darkwave anthems. These concerts promise an immersive experience for fans of the most refined and evocative sounds of the European alternative scene.
