The German gothic metal band Lord of the Lost has released on July 1, 2025, their new track titled “Ghosts”, accompanied by a striking music video. This is the fourth song released so far from their upcoming album OPVS NOIR vol. 1, which will be released on August 8, 2025. Previous singles include “My Sanctuary”, “I Will Die In It”, and “Lords of Fyre”.
For this release, they feature a very special collaboration: the talented Tina Guo, a Grammy-winning cellist and composer, born in China and raised in the United States, known for her work with Hans Zimmer’s band.
Tina Guo is a classically trained artist who has made her mark both in the world of classical music and the film and video game industries. Her unique style and virtuosity have made her a regular figure on Zimmer’s tours, as well as a contributor to soundtracks for major productions such as Wonder Woman, Dune, and League of Legends.
“Ghosts” presents itself as a piece full of drama, orchestral sensitivity, and energy. The combination of Chris Harms’ deep vocals with Tina Guo’s melodic arrangements creates an immersive atmosphere that perfectly fits the band’s theatrical aesthetic.
This new release via Napalm Records could herald a new creative chapter for Lord of the Lost, following their appearance at Eurovision 2023 and their establishment as one of the most prominent names in European gothic metal today.
