Doom metal band Pilgrimage released their new track “Whispers on Stellar Seas” on July 1, 2025, an evocative preview of their sophomore studio album, titled ‘From Amber to Sun’, set to be released on August 29 via Meuse Music Records. The single is now available on digital platforms, and the album is open for pre-order in physical format.
The new record contains a total of eight songs with a combined duration of 47 minutes, presenting a natural evolution from their debut Sigil of the Pilgrim Sun. While maintaining the band’s introspective and ceremonial aura, it expands its emotional and sonic spectrum.
Highlights of the album include collaborations with:
• Elianne Anemaat, a renowned cellist, contributing her instrument on two tracks, creating a seamless tone of sorrow perfectly woven into the album’s sonic narrative.
• Heike Langhans, former vocalist of Draconian, who sings on three tracks, including this new single, bringing her iconic melancholic and hypnotic voice to the emotional core of the album.
The album artwork was created by Berlin-based illustrator Johnny Doe, whose dark and symbolic style visually encapsulates the emotional tone of the record. The physical edition of From Amber to Sun will be released as a CD audio digipack with an 8-page booklet included as a special extra for dedicated fans.
With “Whispers on Stellar Seas,” Pilgrimage demonstrates compositional maturity, balancing the solemnity of doom metal with a broader palette of moods and atmospheres, cementing their place as one of the genre’s most elegant and immersive acts today.
