by | Feb 3, 2026

Benidorm will host the second edition of the Dark City Fest on May 29 and 30, 2026, a festival dedicated to the darker and gothic sounds, taking place at Sala Penélope. The event promises to bring together fans of gothic rock, post‑punk, industrial, and dark wave, featuring a lineup that combines legendary acts with emerging international talent.

Headlining the festival are Finnish band The 69 Eyes, known for their goth ’n’ roll style that mixes classic rock riffs with dark atmospheres and horror-inspired lyrics. Also performing are Turkish duo She Past Away, key figures in contemporary post-punk and dark wave, whose minimal and melancholic sound has won audiences worldwide.

From Canada, Front Line Assembly will bring their pioneering electro-industrial and EBM sound, with decades of experience creating dense, powerful electronic textures. Spanish veteran Ana Curra, known for her time with the iconic band Parálisis Permanente and a key figure in the Movida Madrileña, will also perform, showcasing her influential career in post-punk and Spanish gothic rock.

The festival isn’t limited to live concerts: there will also be DJ sets and electronic sessions, offering a full experience for fans of the dark culture in all its forms. Under the motto “Holidays in the Sun”, Dark City Fest 2026 combines the Mediterranean atmosphere of Benidorm.
