Challenger Makes Waves in 2026 with New Releases, Collaborations and shows

by | Feb 14, 2026

Madrid-based synthpop band Challenger continues to establish itself as one of the leading names in Spain’s electronic and synthwave scene, and 2026 is shaping up to be a year of major releases and collaborations.

Among their highlights is the reinterpretation of the classic “Born Slippy”, created alongside Mixina and Ratsel. Released on January 22, 2026, this single blends Challenger’s synth-pop style with modern electronic rhythms, offering a fresh, retro-futuristic take on Underworld’s iconic track. The release is accompanied by a vibrant music video and is available on platforms such as Spotify, Amazon Music, and more.

But that’s not all: Challenger has also collaborated with producer Karim Shaker on “Beautiful Life”, a track that features the band’s distinctive touch in versions like the Challenger Remix and Challenger Cut, adding their signature synthesizers and electronic sounds. This release reinforces Challenger’s ability to fuse synthpop with collaborations from national and international artists.

These releases are part of Challenger’s growing presence in Madrid’s synthwave scene, where the band has performed at festivals like SuperTrack Festival, captivating audiences with evocative melodies, 80s-inspired synths, and updated production.

With these new tracks, Challenger proves that 2026 will be a pivotal year for their career, solidifying their style and strengthening their presence in Spain’s electronic and synthpop landscape.

In addition to these releases, Challenger has also announced upcoming live shows. The band will perform on March 7 in San Sebastián de los Reyes, and on February 14 in Alcalá de Henares, where they are preparing a very special show. The Alcalá date will feature giveaways and costumes, taking advantage of the carnival season and promising a festive, immersive experience for fans.
