US/Canadian heavy doom band Castle has released “Truckgrinder,” the second single from their upcoming studio album, Carrie Chains. The new full-length record is scheduled for release on September 4 via Hammerheart Records, following the earlier launch of the album’s initial preview track.
Fronted by vocalist Liz Blackwell, the group continues to build upon their established sound by blending traditional 1970s and 1980s heavy metal influences with aggressive doom elements. The new single highlights the band’s focus on stripped-down, riff-driven instrumentation, drawing sonic inspiration from classic acts like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Mercyful Fate while maintaining a raw, direct production style.
To support the release of Carrie Chains, Castle has announced an upcoming run of live performances across the United States. The tour is scheduled to take place throughout September 2026, coinciding directly with the arrival of the new album. “Truckgrinder” is currently available to stream across all major digital platforms.
