The Implicate Order Releases “In Dreams” Single Featuring Liv Kristine

by | Aug 2, 2026

Progressive blackened death metal project The Implicate Order has announced the upcoming streaming release of their epic new single “In Dreams” on August 7, following the earlier arrival of its accompanying cinematic music video. The track features a prominent guest vocal performance by Liv Kristine and serves as a major preview for the band’s forthcoming debut full length album Blacklight. The new record was mixed and mastered by renowned producer Dan Swanö, notably marking the first musical collaboration between him and Kristine since the 1995 self titled debut from Theatre of Tragedy.

Formed by former Divine Heresy frontman Travis Neal and guitarist and composer Andy Rose, the project delivers a massive and deeply layered sound. “In Dreams” showcases an intricate beauty and the beast vocal dynamic, contrasting the harsh and melodic deliveries of Neal with the soaring voice of Kristine. Musically, the track weaves complex violin and guitar melodies together before culminating in a dueling solo, all driven forward by progressive drum arrangements inspired by extreme metal pioneers like Death and Cynic.

Thematically, the new single offers an introspective look at the answers and reflections provided by the subconscious dream state. The highly anticipated debut album Blacklight has already garnered high praise from behind the scenes, with Dan Swanö referring to the project as one of the best records he has ever worked on. The official music video for “In Dreams” is currently available to watch online as the band prepares for the official streaming launch this August.

Being a feminist has been normalized as an irregularity through our patriarchal society, so I'd rather be called a "decent human" than a "feminist man". I breathe Metal and Rock and have a screwed-up sense of humour.
