Absolutely great. We just played two hours ago and we still feel the hype.

So, this year is the 35th edition of Wacken. How does it feel to play on an anniversary show?

Oh, it’s very great. I love Wacken since 20 years. My first Wacken as a guest was in 2006. Now it’s 2026. And my first artist time at Wacken was 2016. So, every 10 years it’s for me an anniversary too. It was a very great and special year for me and my band too.

Benedetta

Do you think that we will ever reach some sort of equality between men and women in the metal scene?

There’s never any equality. I think it’s also a kind of thing that the more female bands are coming that I don’t see any problem in this. So, I think it’s just a thing about that there are not so many female fronted bands right now. So, the equality is gonna come if there are gonna be more female fronted bands. Yeah, start bands. Everybody should start a band. From my personal opinion, if I am aware that there is a female fronted or all female band, I’m much more interested in it. Because there are millions of all male bands and it’s nothing special. And if you see an all female band or a female fronted band, I think it’s really nice. I think it’s cool and I am much more interested in it than I would be interested in the one millionth all male band. That’s kind of boring. But all in all, I think it doesn’t matter if you are male or female. Your music has to be good. Just put effort in your music. No matter if you are a man or a woman or if you are a male or female. Just put effort in your music and do the best you can.
