Los Angeles based pop punk artist Luna Shadows has released a brand new single and accompanying music video titled “gutspill.” Co- written and co produced alongside Chris Freeman of Hot Mulligan, the track marks a stylistic shift by blending early two thousands pop punk energy with her signature dreamy electronic production. Thematically, “gutspill” explores the overwhelming experience of holding in intense emotions until they finally burst out, operating as a playful ode to expressing true feelings even when they feel terrifying. To visually capture this lighter era, Shadows self directed and produced a nostalgic band performance video featuring Freeman on guitar.
Operating out of California, Luna Shadows has spent the past decade independently carving out her own space within the alternative music landscape. As a classically trained pianist who writes and produces entirely from her bedroom studio, she meticulously controls every aspect of her sonic and visual presentation. With over sixty million streams accumulated across her catalog, she continues to expand her creative reach by composing for video games and producing for other artists. With the arrival of “gutspill,” she successfully merges her lifelong love for alternative rock with her established electronic sound.
