Murcia is getting ready to become a meeting point once again for fans of manga, anime, comics, video games and pop culture with a new edition of Manga Experience Murcia, taking place on October 17 and 18 at the Cuartel de Artillería. Over the course of two days, visitors will be able to enjoy an extensive programme featuring actors, professional voice actors, illustrators, writers, content creators, cosplayers and artists, alongside a wide range of activities dedicated to gaming, K-Pop, comics and collecting.

One of the main highlights of this autumn edition will be the international appearance of British actor Nick Moran. He is internationally known for playing Scabior, one of the Snatchers who appears in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2. His character is involved in the pursuit of Harry, Ron and Hermione during one of the key moments of the final chapter of the saga. However, Moran’s career goes far beyond the magical world of Harry Potter. The British actor, director and screenwriter also gained recognition for his role as Eddie in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), the Guy Ritchie film that became one of the most iconic British productions of the late 1990s. Throughout his career, Moran has also appeared in productions such as The Musketeer and Accident Man, among others. His presence at Manga Experience Murcia will give fans the opportunity to learn more about his career and his experience working on one of the most successful film franchises of recent decades, as well as taking part in meet-and-greets, autograph sessions and photo opportunities.

And if that wasn’t enough for Harry Potter fans, Josh Herdman is also joining Manga Experience!

The British actor is best known worldwide for playing Gregory Goyle, one of Draco Malfoy’s closest friends and allies, appearing in all eight Harry Potter films.

His connection to the Wizarding World also continued beyond the movies. Herdman lent his voice to Gregory Goyle in several Harry Potter video games, including Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Away from Hogwarts, he appeared in films such as Thunderpants and in British TV productions including UGetMe and The Bill.

But his career goes far beyond Hogwarts. Herdman also appeared in the film ‘Thunderpants’, alongside Ruperto Grint, and featured in British TV productions including ‘The Bill’, ‘The Crust’, a sitcom set in a pizza restaurant, and ‘UGetMe’ where he played Ben.

Josh has also pursued a career as a profesional MMA fighter, competing professionally since 2016.

Voice acting will be another major feature of the autumn edition. Manga Experience Murcia will welcome Luis Posada, who has lent his voice to renowned actors such as Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jim Carrey, Adrien Brody, and Owen Wilson;

All professionals from the world of voice acting and dubbing. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover more about the work behind some of the most recognisable characters on screen, learn how dubbing sessions are carried out and hear first-hand stories from these professionals. The talks and activities featuring the voice actors will offer audiences an insight into a profession that plays a fundamental role in the audiovisual experience and has a passionate fan community.

Art and illustration will also have a prominent place at the event. Among the guests will be illustrator Mario Domínguez, as well as LW Veider, who is involved in writing and creative projects, and San Pito Pato. Comic book fans will also be able to enjoy comic book presentations, discover new projects and take part in autograph sessions with guests and artists. One of the spaces specifically dedicated to creators will be the Artists’ Alley, where different illustrators will be able to showcase their work directly to the public and offer their artwork and products. The artistic programme will also include a miniature painting masterclass with Narval Painter, aimed at fans interested in discovering or improving their miniature painting and modelling techniques.

K-Pop will have a strong presence at this edition, with a range of activities dedicated to fans of Korean music, dance and culture. The programme will feature Yume, a K-Pop choreographer, who will take part in activities related to the discipline. Visitors will also be able to enjoy the K-Pop Fest and take part in the K-Pop Dance Contest, giving fans the opportunity to take to the stage and showcase their skills.

Cosplay will be another major highlight of the weekend. The programme will feature Obi Dan, Ace, Thalion, Asier Cosplay and Dune Cosplay, all recognised names within the cosplay community. ESP-V Squad will also be present with its own photocall, giving attendees the chance to take pictures and create a memorable experience at the event. There will also be photo sessions with guests and artists, providing visitors with the opportunity to take home a personalised souvenir from Manga Experience Murcia.

The worlds of online content, collecting and fan communities will also have their own space at the festival. Among the guests will be Juancar Collector DB, a content creator specialising in the Dragon Ball universe, who will share his experience within the world of collecting and fan culture. YouTubers Seldion, Saencsa and Shenronz will also take part in talks and activities dedicated to content creators and online communities.

Video games will have their own dedicated space at the festival with a gaming zone, where visitors will be able to enjoy different activities and experiences related to the world of gaming. The programme will combine entertainment, competition, participation and community, offering content for fans of different generations and gaming platforms.

Visitors will also be able to explore a wide range of merchandise stands, featuring products related to manga, anime, video games, films, series, characters and pop culture. The commercial area will be complemented by the Artists’ Alley, where attendees will be able to discover and purchase artwork directly from its creators.
