Out of Darkness is already like a delicious cake, and now Valkyrie’s Fire have put the cherry on top of it with the release of their new music video for “Evermore.” The track comes directly from their brand new debut full length album, which arrived on September 18 via Eclipse Records. Directed by vocalist Bettie Floyd alongside ProMotion LLC, the video takes Edgar Allan Poe‘s classic poem “The Raven” and gives it a fresh look. They set the story in a detailed 19th-century world before shifting gears into a bright, energetic metal performance.

Thematically, “Evermore” tackles getting through grief and finding a sense of hope, moving past the endless sorrow found in the original poem. The track highlights the shared vocal duties of Floyd and singer Adam Sanders. The band’s debut album was produced and engineered by Joey Grimaldi, with cover art designed by Jan Yrlund. Fans checking out the new record will also hear a guest appearance from Mikael Sehlin of Amaranthe, who mastered the project and contributed vocals to the track “Burning Sky.”
