Philadelphia band Soraia released their version of the garage rock classic “The Witch” by The Sonics on October 9 through Wicked Cool Records. The song originally entered the group’s live set as a replacement for another cover they frequently played, “Have Love Will Travel,” and quickly became a permanent fixture of their live performances.

The new recording features frontwoman ZouZou Mansour delivering a darker take on the original track. The release of “The Witch” arrives just in time for the Halloween season and follows a string of earlier 2026 singles from the band, including “Limelight,” “La Belgique,” and “Queens and Pharaohs.”

Soraia are currently on the road for a string of October tour dates to support their recent releases. Following a recent stop in New York City, the group is scheduled to play upcoming shows in Boston, Providence, Portland, and Alameda.
