Vancouver hard rock group SuckerTrap have released their new single, “Sacred Lies”, via SODEH Records. The track serves as the debut for the band’s new vocalist, Louise Porter.
Produced by David Ottoson, “Sacred Lies” blends classic hard rock structures with heavy guitar riffs and rhythmic synths. Lyrically, the song examines the mechanics of blind devotion, detailing a toxic cosmic relationship framed as a message from a jealous creator.
Initially formed as a studio project by guitarist Pinto, SuckerTrap expanded into a full live band before signing with Montreal label SODEH Records. The current lineup is completed by drummer Dave Toutman and keyboardist Melissa Lee, drawing on underlying elements of gothic and industrial music.
