Australian gothic metal band Victoria K have released their new single, “Incubus”, taken from their upcoming third studio album, The Pleasure of Sorrow. The release arrives ahead of a busy October schedule supporting Katatonia and Paradise Lost on their Australian tour dates.

The new track follows the previously issued singles “Oh So Weary” and “Take It All”. Musically, the band integrates heavy elements with electronic experimentation and atmospheric soundscapes.

The lyrical themes of “Incubus” focus on the difficulty of ending relationships and the conflict between holding onto familiar memories and moving forward. The track shifts between atmospheric piano sections and heavier segments to reflect these themes, abandoning conventional song structures to allow the arrangement to develop naturally.
