Kristeen Young Releases “Full Scrotal Scorpio”, Taking Aim at Greed and the State of Society

by | Oct 24, 2026

American alternative rock musician Kristeen Young released her eleventh studio album, Full Scrotal Scorpio, on October 23, 2026. The album takes on greed, overconsumption, selfishness, and the increasingly troubling state of society, with Young approaching these subjects through her unusual combination of piano rock, industrial sounds, and experimental vocals. The title track, released on October 20, opens with a playful piano melody before taking a darker turn, bringing in distorted sounds, dissonant piano playing, and layered vocals. Accompanied by drummer Jefferson Wayne White, Young builds much of the album around the contrast between melody and noise. The record also includes the previously released singles “Numbers” and “Not Like You.”

Young celebrated the album’s release with a show at TV Eye in Queens, New York, on October 23. She is also scheduled to join The Smashing Pumpkins at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on November 12, performing her interpretation of “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” as part of their Rats in a Cage tour. Throughout her career, Young has worked with several major musicians, including producer Tony Visconti, David Bowie, who joined her on “Saviour” from her 2003 album Breasticles, and Dave Grohl, who contributed drums and guitar to her 2014 album The Knife Shift.
