Secret Rule Release New Single “Trip Into My Hell” Ahead of Upcoming Album

by | Nov 6, 2026

Italian modern metal band Secret Rule have released their new single, “Trip Into My Hell,” accompanied by an official music video filmed during their recent European tour with Xandria and Seven Spires. The track is taken from their upcoming eleventh studio album, Someone Killed the Pope, scheduled for release on February 5, 2027, through Rockshots Records. Compared to the heavier and more electronic direction of their previous singles, the new song takes a more straightforward rock approach, combining driving guitar riffs, a strong rhythm section, and Angela Di Vincenzo’s melodic vocals.

Lyrically, “Trip Into My Hell” explores confronting personal struggles and accepting difficult experiences rather than trying to escape them. Its references to fire, smoke, and collapsing roads represent the uncertainty and pain involved in moving forward. The band performed the song throughout their European tour before its official release, with footage from those performances forming the basis of the accompanying music video.

Someone Killed the Pope will feature 12 tracks, bringing together different elements of Secret Rule’s modern metal sound. The album continues the band’s musical development through a combination of heavier compositions, electronic influences, and more direct rock arrangements. Pre-orders for the record are currently available.
