Greek alternative metal and hard rock band Absinthe Green released the official music video for their single “When The Lights Go Out” on October 31, 2026, celebrating Halloween with a song exploring the darker side of human nature. Combining heavy guitar riffs, atmospheric passages, and haunting melodies, the track examines the parts of ourselves we often suppress, encouraging listeners to confront their fears and embrace their true nature rather than hide from it.

The release follows the band’s debut album, Of Love and Pain, which arrived on September 19, 2025. Produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa, the album explores love, grief, redemption, and the contradictions of human experience. Originally founded in Dortmund, Germany, in 2016 as a solo project by vocalist and songwriter Eirini “Absinthe Green,” the project developed into a full band after her return to Greece in 2019. Their music combines alternative metal, hard rock, and melodic influences with emotionally driven songwriting.
