Hello Larissa. How are you doing?
Hey! I’m doing very good. Thanks for having me, I’m excited to answer the questions!
I am glad to have you with us today! I don’t believe I have seen you anywhere on social media without a guitar. So would you like to tell our readers how this love story between you and the guitar began?
It started when I was just a kid and I fell in love with that game “Guitar Hero”. I had a joystick guitar for the game and spent so many hours playing with it. I just loved the feeling of playing a song on guitar (even if it was not a real one) and those rock songs made me feel so happy and powerful. Then, I knew I had to learn it for real, on a real guitar. From then on, everything about guitars fascinated me, I was dreaming about the day I’d have one, I’d do anything for it. Finally, I got an acoustic guitar for Christmas when I was eight.
That’s beautiful. You currently are posting Tiktoks, Instagram Reels and YouTube videos of your guitar covers for iconic Rock and Metal songs and you’re receiving a great number of views. What are your plans for your future as a guitarist? Would you like to join or create a band?
Definitely! Recently, I moved out of my home town to pursue a full-time career as a musician. I’ll have face-to-face lessons with a guitar teacher at a music school for the first time! (before that, I had only learned on the internet) I’m looking for a band, maybe I’ll create one. I wish a had an all-female band.
That would be great! Good luck with your plans. You cover songs from a variety of music styles. You have Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, some soft Rock and Progressive Metal. But when you think of yourself as a musician, is there a certain music style or genre you feel you belong into?
I haven’t found a music genre I feel I belong to yet, I guess I’m a versatile musician. The ones that I identify with the most are classic rock, heavy metal and alternative rock from the 90s. Acoustic fingerstyle is something I really love too, soft rock or any song that calms my mind.
In order to get to know you better, and to have some fun, how about we play a game? I will give you a certain scenario in an alternate universe and you will have to react. Ready?
I’m ready!
In a universe where you’re the ruler of a country, what would be an interesting law you’d make?
I’d make a law for schools to invest in young kids’ talents and abilities since they are young, so they can dedicate their time to pursuing the things they do best. I wish I had spent more time studying music because it was always my passion and what I do best.
That’s a good law. What would your superpower be in a universe where humans are born with superpowers related to their personalities?
I think I’d have x-ray eyes. I have a good eye for detail and I can see the big picture of a situation (that’s probably one of the reasons I’m good with social media). Or maybe something like that guy from the movie limitless, that can learn things 10x faster.
In a universe where guitar players are worshipped as gods and goddesses and each has a festival, what would your festival be like?
I’d make something fancy and classy. Maybe in an enormous all-glass building, with a lot of rock n’ roll! I would try to bring something new and modern to rock. But we wouldn’t miss black clothes!

Interesing. In a universe where people pay for things by telling funny jokes instead of money, how rich would you be considered?
If you’re considering funny words I believe I wouldn’t have much money, but if you consider funny actions maybe I could pay for my rent and food! I’m very clumsy, some people might think it’s funny.
In a universe where the senses of taste and hearing are mixed up, what food would your favourite music taste like?
It’d taste like the last food on an isolated island or a cup of water after a really long walk.
Thank you for playing, Larissa! What guitar are you currently using and what guitar would you recommend for a beginner?
I’m currently using a classic Epiphone Les Paul. For beginners, I’d recommend going to a guitar store to test which guitar fits best. If you can afford it, go for a well-known brand and if you don’t know your style yet, you can get a Stratocaster at first, it’s more versatile.
As an influencer, I believe you’d receive a lot of sexist and inappropriate messages. How would you deal with such behaviour and what advice would you give l young people who face a similar challenge online?
Yes, I do receive a lot of sexist comments. It used to upset me back then when I read all the comments. I thought of changing my style, my clothes, and covering my body. But I realized I can’t control what narrow-minded people think, how they will judge women for their clothing, their body, everything, no matter what we do to avoid it. What I can control is what I am and what I know I’m capable of. I know I’m trying every day to get better at guitar, I know what I’ve been through to get here, this is my job now, I’m getting paid and I have a lot of people that love what I do. So why would I care for people that have such an old mentality? They’re just uncomfortable that young girls have trespassed a men’s territory: rock industry. And we’re here to stay. For people that are going through something similar, just find your community, know your worth, and leave the rest behind.
Those were some brilliant words! Thank you for the interview, Larissa. Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Thank you for inviting me for this interview! I had a lot of fun answering the questions. I hope my community and fans we’ll get to know me better after reading it. If you did read it all, send me a DM on Instagram sharing your thoughts about it. See you next time!
