The bulldozer Lucie Sue makes a smashing return. Just in time for Halloween, she unveils a totally unexpected new single: City of Ghosts. An explosive track that sets the tone for her third album, slated for 2028.
We dare you not to headbang while listening to this track. It’s simply impossible. Because this is hands down the most powerful and energetic song Lucie Sue has ever delivered! Released the day before Halloween, it is a glorious ode to Edinburgh, and more specifically, to that mystical tavern known as The Bannerman’s. This track radiates visceral energy. It’s raw, unfiltered, high-octane rock. Tailored to echo through dark Scottish alleys as well as the most explosive stages.
Blending ghosts, cathedral bells, heavy guitars, a charging rhythm, and glorious backing vocals. It’s a true emotional tornado. A headbutt that would wake the spirits of the past and make them want to conquer the world!
It was during her UK tour that Lucie Sue discovered Scotland’s most mystical and underground tavern The Bannerman’s. She was left speechless by the sheer charisma of the place and the people who embody it. At 237 years old, this legendary Edinburgh pub is haunted by the souls of sailors and scoundrels who once came to carouse amidst live music, the smell of hops, sticky floors worndown by too much spilled whiskey, and broken teeth. Everyone knows it. This place is unique, as raw as rock ‘n’ roll itself. A pure source of energy, it leaves you with only one craving: coming back for more.
Upstairs, the apartment where thousands of musicians have slept is a true punk sanctuary. Every single one of them left a trace of their passage through stickers and graffiti plastered absolutely everywhere, from the windows down to the toilet bowl.
« Between the wet drafts, dead mice, moving furniture, and walls completely torn apart by stickers and tags, this place sounds like a true horror movie set—yet, an extraordinarily unique and brilliant energy radiates from it. The energy of celebrating music. That’s what made me want to write a song about it. ». Lucie Sue.
This is one of the windows in the apartment that hosts artists at The Bannerman’s. You can see the stickers and messages left behind by the bands who played there. And a dead mouse, keeping watch over the place. This single image captures the entire spirit of the location: the very essence of rock music.
With two albums and a brand-new single as powerful as her own determination, Lucie Sue is shaking up the French and European rock scenes.
A child of the MTV generation, raised on the sounds of 90s Anglo-Saxon bands, she unleashes a fantastic alternative rock universe, blending heavy guitars and magnetic melodies that force every single spectator to headbang. From the biggest stages in France (including MainStage 1 at Hellfest and three Zéniths with Ultra Vomit) to the most intimate venues, Lucie Sue leaves a lasting imprint thanks to her fierce charisma and explosive energy.
Exactly why the American hard rock band Steel Panther chose Lucie Sue as the main support act for their 2026 European tour.
Driven by her unique musical world and boundless energy, Lucie Sue is well on her way to becoming an essential figure in international rock and metal:
