Kelsy Karter and The Heroines are about two weeks into their Lightning In A Bottle World Tour. Back in 2024, the band faced problem after problem getting the wheels turning on their first U.S. headline run. With the group being from the U.K., they struggled getting their U.S. work visas in time, which left frontwoman Kelsy Karter to complete the tour on her own. With that said, in 2025, she has finally been able to headline venues across the country with her boys behind her. On 2/11, the band hit Nashville’s Exit/In.
After a short opening set from Roadsoda, Kelsy Karter and The Heroines took the stage around 8:30PM. The stage is set with a clear high class rock n’ roll aesthetic in mind; complete with faux fur rugs, chains, a drink cart with roses and pearls and of course, lingerie hanging off – setting the tone for the evening. Instead of coming out with guns blazing, Karter and The Heroines took a gentler route, opening with the frontwoman seated at a keyboard with the spotlight on her as she poured her heart out on the mic.

For their first U.S. headline tour where Kelsy Karter was able to be joined by her bandmates, the chemistry was automatic. The group features childhood friends from the U.K.; Matthew Peach on guitar, Tommy Gent on bass and Sebastian Boyse on drums. Not only do Kelsy Karter and The Heroines have the look and high-energy stage show, but they have created quality pop-rock sounds that find their way into your ear and stick.
Karter embodies all that it means to be a modern day rock queen. She’s got the voice of steel, attitude, style, hooks and more. During the second song of the set, I Get Off, she jumps off the stage and into the crowd, singing directly to fans, on their level – removing any level of separation between artist and consumer. “Do you see how small I am?” shouts Karter, time and again. “And do you hear how loud I am? What’s your excuse?” she says, getting the crowd engaged and cheering.
The setlist is centered largely around the group’s most recent studio album, Love Made Me Do It, released just a couple weeks ago – performing 10/14 tracks from the album as well as several other older tunes of theirs.
Kelsy Karter and the Heroines put on one hell of a show and it’s surely not one to miss as they take on bigger and bigger stages in the States and worldwide.
