Canadian rock star LØLØ is quickly rising as one of the standout names in today’s rock scene. We had the chance to chat with her about her successful debut album, opening for the iconic pop rock band Simple Plan, her experience performing at Warped Tour, and more. Don’t miss this interview with one of the most exciting new voices in pop rock!
Reuel
Hello! I’m happy to chat with you. How are you doing?
LØLØ
I’m doing great, thank you! Just got to Toronto for a week of rehearsals ahead of my little Europe run, very exciting!
Reuel
Oh, this does sound exciting! You released a deluxe edition just a year after your debut, and things have been going well. How do you feel about the response your first album has received so far?
LØLØ
I’m proud of my album, so it’s an amazing feeling to know that it’s been well received. That’s always a good, reassuring feeling! It went so well though, that now I’m a bit nervous about how I’m going to top it!

Reuel
What elements in your music do you feel truly define LØLØ?
LØLØ
I feel like what defines me the most is my lyrics, I always try to just say exactly what I’m feeling, however blunt and crazy it may sound.
Reuel
When someone finishes your album, what kind of emotional impact do you hope it leaves on them?
LØLØ
I hope my album takes listeners on a journey of self-reflection and helps them realize that it’s okay to feel all of the things and be oversensitive or overdramatic, that’s a part of what makes us human.
Reuel
If you had the chance to make one song from your debut album heard by the entire world, which song would you choose and why that one?
LØLØ
Hmmm. Tie between hot girls and hell and u & the tin man. I just feel like they’re both pretty unique and great storytelling, and I’d love for those two in particular to get more recognition.
Reuel
You’ll be opening for Simple Plan and performing at Warped Tour. This is huge! What does this moment mean for you personally and professionally?
LØLØ
Very huge for me! My first tour I was ever offered was with Simple Plan, and I remember being SO EXCITED because they’ve always been one of my favorite bands, but unfortunately, it fell through due to COVID, I was bedridden and depressed. So the fact that it’s finally happening 4 years later for real makes me so happy, and I can finally fulfill that childhood dream! I’m also so excited for Warped Tour, I know how important this festival is in the scene, and I’m honored to be a part of it.

You’re also going to be performing in Milan on June 10th! Do you ever take inspiration from the places you tour through for your songwriting or stage presence?
LØLØ
Oh yes, definitely !! I had one of the best nights on tour in Scotland and it ended up being a lyric in one of my songs, so who knows, maybe Milan will cut album 2.
Reuel
Brilliant! Do you feel that heavy music has become more inclusive for women, or is there still a long road ahead?
LØLØ
I definitely feel like it has, which is awesome! There are so many talented women out there, and I’m glad that way more are starting to get recognized. Let’s keep that coming!
Reuel
Thank you for your time and for this interview, LØLØ! Is there anything you’d like to add in the end?
LØLØ
Thank you for having me!!! Have a great day 🙂
