We had the chance to chat with Dahlia Neville, from the Alternative Rock band, Accidental President. vocalist of the band who recently released a new album shared with us some of her insight on the album and told us about her musical background. Enjoy this interview with Dahlia Neville!

Hello! I’m doing really well and so is the rest of AP, we’ve been really happy about the release of our New Album!

You have recently released your new album named “Was It Meant To Be This Way?”. How are you feeling about the way it was received by your fans?
Dahlia Neville
It’s been a really great experience, we had been working on the album for such a long time that once fans were able to listen to these songs we put our hearts and souls into, everyone had such a great response.

How would you describe your sound to someone who never got the chance to listen to your music before?

Rock n Roll with an Alternative drive behind it! Telling a story with each song.

Beautiful. What bands did you grow up listening to?
Dahlia Neville
I listened to a lot of Evanescence as a kid! Then as a teenager, you could find me listening to a lot of The Pretty Reckless, In This Moment, Three Days Grace, etc.

I was really young at the time so I can’t remember it too well, I’ve been performing since I was a child, I use to sing at shopping malls and small events in the town I grew up in, I remember knowing that performing was something I wanted to continue through life.

What advice would you give our young readers who might experience any kind of discrimination?
Dahlia Neville
My advice would be to try to find a safe person in your life to help you navigate the discrimination, you don’t have to go through it alone.
