Here at FemMetal not only do we support women in rock and metal already in the music industry, but we also support the bands that are just starting their careers. And it is the case of this talented young group called Increased Decay, from Northern Italy.
Increased Decay is a metal band formed by 6 boys around the age of 18; it was formed in the summer of 2021 on the idea of singer and pianist Alice and drummer Lorenzo. During September, the band was completed by guitarist Lorenzo, bassist Ernesto and keyboardist Giulio. In December 2021, they performed for the first time in public at a club in Saronno. A second one followed in March 2022, in the province of Como, with the addition of second guitarist Stefano, but the real breakthrough came in June 2022, when they participated in the Woodstock in Paderno Dugnano as the opening band.
The next night they play at the Garbagnate Milanese festival, and the success is such that in the following days, a photo is dedicated to them that is hung on the town wall. In July, they perform in the square in Seregno, and Alice plays keyboards in the absence of keyboardist Giulio, who is forced to leave the project for study reasons. Also, in July, they participate in the Barlassina music festival, and this time it is Alessandro (17 years old, future replacement for Ernesto on bass) who performs on keyboards.
Their performances do not go unnoticed, and between September and October come more concerts. At Trip Food&Drink in Vimercate, in Carate Brianza, where the municipality reserves them a stage in a historic villa, at the Pit Stop Café in Vedano al Lambro, at the multipurpose centre in Seveso but also at the AZ Live Club in Turate. They end the month of October with a big night in the marquee of the Lomazzo party area (an event that was also published in some newspapers).
Increased Decay is currently planning other events: at the rock on the road in Senago in November, in Desio in December, and for the first time at Rush in Bergamo in February. They have always been followed and supported by a great group behind them that helps them with everything related to pre-live preparation, and in particular, they are accompanied by their sound and lighting technician, who spurs them on under any circumstances.
For the past couple of months, they have been writing their first single, which will be recorded and released soon, with the goal of committing hard to their music, creating a genre of innovative and distinctive metal. They strongly believe in the female world of metal, love to perform for audiences, and convey their passion.
