Tuska 2023: In Flames, The Hu, Arch Enemy, Butcher Babies and many more added to the programme

All ticket categories are now on sale, and artist performance dates have been announced.

The Tuska Festival, which will take place on the weekend after Midsummer from 30th June to 2nd July 2023, has added a whole host of ironclad metal acts to its programme. The line-up is dominated by melodic death metallers In Flames, whose melodically wistful yet aggressively recognisable harmonic guitar lines have inspired countless players and bands around the world over the decades. In Flames will release a new album in February. Also added to the programme are Mongolian group The Hu, who add a traditional throat-singing twist to their metal-influenced folk music, and Arch Enemy, the recently sold-out Swedish melodeath act from the Black Box at Helsinki’s Ice Hall.

Other new international arrivals include American groove metal sensation Butcher Babies, experimental metal outfit Imperial Triumphant, also from across the Atlantic, and London-based singer-songwriter A.A. Williams.
Domestic representation at Tuska will be bolstered by Helsinki-based crossover group Foreseen, melodic metal supergroup Smackbound, traditional power metal act Silver Bullet, Scandinavian pagan metal act Vermilia with beautifully melancholic vocal harmonies, deathgrind outfit Galvanizer and death/doom band Solothus.

The dates for the Tuska bands have now been published. Exact schedules will be announced at a later date.

Benedetta Baldin

Hi! My name is Benedetta, I’m 29 and I live in Northern Italy. My passion has always been music: I started taking guitar lessons when I was 6. Now I work as a sales representative, but in my free time I interview talented people, I spread the word about my favorite band (MoonSun), and I go to concerts or travel around Europe. I am a huge collector of anything Tolkien-related, autographs, merchandise, and CDs. I am quite an original person and don’t mind being the voice outside of the choir (even though I play in the church’s choir!).
