Los Angeles-based rock artist Hayley Sakkara has released her new single, “Becoming,” on October 30, 2026. Co-written with Grammy-winning songwriter and former Evanescence member David Hodges, who has also worked with Kelly Clarkson and Christina Perri, the track combines heavy guitars with melodic vocals and a powerful chorus. The song explores self-discovery, letting go of other people’s expectations, and finding the confidence to become who you truly are.
“Becoming” draws from Sakkara’s personal experiences of losing her sense of identity and gradually rediscovering herself. The release follows a period of growing exposure for the Cleveland-born artist, including a feature in Metal Edge and her appearance as the face of Affliction’s women’s fall campaign. She has also received support from musicians including Flyleaf, Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens, and Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, alongside performances at Emo Nite and HazFest in Los Angeles.
