The guest of this interview hails from the homeland of metal, which is Germany. Ghosther combines diverse influences while having a unique sound of their own. They have released their second album “Immersion” a couple of months ago. See what I talked about with their lead singer, Jenny!

Hello Jenny, how are you doing at the moment?
I’m absolutely fine and happy!
You have just released your sophomore album “Immersion” and it is remarkable. Will you release any more singles after “Criminal Love”?
All I can say for now is that we are working on a new single release 😋
Which song from “Immersion” would you choose if you had to enter a metal competition?
So hard to choose only one of the songs. I think I would go with “RESISTANCE”.
You’re now touring and playing your songs live. What is the best feedback you’ve received about Ghosther?
One of the best feedbacks was “Ghosther is special and not similar to any other band” or “Wow, that show blows me away”.
Has there been a real-life situation that inspired any of your songs?
Oh yes, one of them is definitely KARMA. The lyrics are about a former colleague who bullied me and some other colleagues. He tried to mess up my whole fucking working day for 3 years.
What is integral, in your opinion, to the work of an artist nowadays?
Courage and patience.
If you could live in the last book you read, where would that be?
Malibu.
Even though we live in the 21st century, women still haven’t reached equality. Have you ever been mistreated or discriminated against?
Not in the music business. I only met good people on every show we played or studio we worked with. Sometimes I wish I could have more privacy Backstage. But after all the years and shows we played as a band, it doesn’t matter anymore 😄 It’s family! We have more female-fronted bands than ever. I’m still hoping for more of them to get the chance to play at major festivals. It doesn’t matter if the singer is male or female. We are bands. And that’s it!
Let’s play a game! Would you rather have 10 enormous dogs or 100 pet hamsters?
Dog mom since 2006!!
Thank you very much Jenny, for taking the time to do this interview! Would you like to add anything else to our readers?
Thank you very much for the interview, and for having me! I really hope people could give any fucking band in the world a chance to be heard. Visit concerts, support bands and their music. Add them to your playlist and let’s meet at the live shows. We made it through the pandemic and we are still here! Thanks for your support and acceptance of women in metal 🤘
Benedetta Baldin

Hi! My name is Benedetta, I’m 29 and I live in Northern Italy. My passion has always been music: I started taking guitar lessons when I was 6. Now I work as a sales representative, but in my free time I interview talented people, I spread the word about my favorite band (MoonSun), and I go to concerts or travel around Europe. I am a huge collector of anything Tolkien-related, autographs, merchandise, and CDs. I am quite an original person and don’t mind being the voice outside of the choir (even though I play in the church’s choir!).
